TeaOnHer Checker ("we," "us," or "our") is an independent third-party lookup service. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the TeaOnHer application or its parent company. Our service is operated from the United States.

2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Contact details: your name and email address (required to deliver results)
- Identifiers for the lookup: Instagram handle, phone number, city/state, and any photos you upload
- Optional context: any additional notes you include in the request form
- Payment information: processed entirely by Stripe — we never see or store your card number, CVV, or full billing details

- IP address and approximate geolocation (country/region level)
- Browser type, operating system, and referring URL
- Pages visited and time spent on site (via privacy-respecting analytics)
- Cookie identifiers (see our Cookie Policy)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To perform the lookup you requested and deliver your report by email
- To process your payment through Stripe
- To respond to support inquiries
- To detect and prevent fraud or abuse of the service
- To improve site performance and user experience (aggregated, anonymized analytics only)
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, sell leads, or contact you for marketing without your explicit opt-in.
4. How We Share Your Information
We share your data only with the following categories of service providers, strictly to operate the service:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
- Email delivery provider — to send your results report to the address you provided.
- Cloud hosting provider — to store and serve the website and submitted data securely.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or the public.
5. Data Retention
We retain your submitted lookup data (name, email, identifiers, photos, notes) for 90 days after your report is delivered, then permanently delete it. Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial regulations (typically 7 years), but these records contain only transaction metadata — not your card details.

6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over TLS (HTTPS). Submitted files and form data are stored in encrypted cloud storage with access restricted to the analyst assigned to your case. We do not share case data internally beyond that single analyst.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, contact us immediately.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data ("right to be forgotten")
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Data portability (receive your data in a machine-readable format)
- Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

8. Children's Privacy
This service is intended for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
